Ametyst Hotel Prague

	The majestic Hotel Ametyst, Prague was built in 1923 and was completely renovated in 2003. It is often called the ‘Gallery Hotel’ as it displays many paintings by Czech, Russian and Bulgarian painters on its walls. As the paintings are for sale, they are changing constantly. Due to its location, this hotel is equally suited to both the leisure and business traveller. Situated in the Vinorahdy area of Prague, this hotel benefits from being close to the city centre whilst also being in one of the best residential areas of the city. Regular trams are available on nearby Belehradska Street that go to I P Pavlova, a major intersection for tram and metro services. If you prefer to use the metro, the nearest stations may be found at Namesti Miru and I P Pavlova offering fast connections to all parts of the city. On foot, you can reach Wenceslas Square in about 15 minutes. For conference delegates, the Prague Congress Centre is approx. 10 – 15 minutes away by car.
A total of 85 guest rooms are available and are divided into the following categories: 8 single rooms, 24 twin rooms, 45 double rooms, 7 triple rooms and 1 room with disabled access. One floor of the hotel is completely non-smoking. All rooms have a private bathroom with a bath or shower and WC, hairdryer, mini-bar, coffee & tea making facilities, wireless Internet connection, safe, satellite TV and direct-dial telephone. Some rooms have air-conditioning and there is also 1 room equipped for people with allergies.


	There are 2 restaurants at this hotel. The first, ‘La Galleria’ is an award winning a la carte restaurant that offers Czech and international cuisine as well as a special dietary menu. The second, ‘Vienna’ is a ‘wine restaurant’ that serves Czech and Austrian specialities with, as you might expect from the name, a large selection of fine wines from all over Europe. For a relaxing drink you can enjoy your free time in the ‘Ametyst’ bar.
